The lifting appliance will be installed by qualified personnel.
 

The base for the lifting appliance will be on a firm and level base.
 

All staff using the lift will wear helmets.
 

The loads will be made secure before lifting.
 

All slings and hooks will be maintained and inspected at the appropriate time intervals.
 

The maximum safe working load of the lifting apparatus and associated equipment will not be exceeded.
 

If any overhead power lines are in the area of the lifting apparatus, there must be barriers installed.
 

Only suitably qualified staff shall operate the lifting apparatus.
 

During out of working hours the lifting apparatus shall be made secure.
