Hazards

  Instructions to minimise risk

Damage to liver and skin resulting from contact with PCB Staff will under no circumstances, handle or move equipment containing PCB if they suspect that PCB has leaked out of its container.

If staff suspect that PCB has leaked from its container then they must cease work and inform their supervisor immediately. 
 

Contamination of the environment Staff will under no circumstances dispose of equipment containing PCB.

The disposal of PCB can only be carried out by a licensed organisation.

Asbestos has been identified as one of the most dangerous hazards found in the work place.

The breathing in of asbestos fibres can cause serious and potentially fatal illnesses many years after exposure.
